Holiday Party Attire
Tis the season! Tis the season for parties and events and … just.so.many.plans. It’s fun and it’s a bit chaotic. For anyone (like me) that needs a healthy amount of quiet time to function, it can easily become overwhelming. I do my best to embrace the best of it! There is lot to enjoy! Over the years, I’ve learned to say ‘yes’ to the things that I (or that someone in my immediate family) truly want to participate in and let the other things go. We have a little family meeting at the beginning of each season and discuss what’s important, what we’re each looking forward to … and what we aren’t and would be okay letting go. It seems to be working for us, at least for now …
As for the parties and events that we do want to attend, it’s soo fun to dress up a little. EVEN if that just means dressing up your top and accessories. I’ve always been more of a “jeans and a going out top” (IYKYK) kinda girl! This year, I found my closet lacking in the way of party attire, so I added three new pieces from Boden and I’m looking forward to wearing each one as I celebrate the season with all of my favorite people!
First up – my ‘Girls Night In Christmas Dinner’ outfit! Really loving this top. It’s so easy to dress up … but I dressed it down with jeans and a pop of leopard for a lovely dinner with my favorite friends.

Next up – my ‘Christmas Party’ outfit. Gah, this emerald velvet dress fit me like a glove. I honestly couldn’t believe it. It was meant to be and I can’t wait to wear it!

And, finally, my NYE outfit. Embracing the gold and brown for this semi-casual NYE look and couldn’t be happier about it!

While I clearly leaned in hard to the green and gold vibe for all things party attire this season, you can never go wrong with reds and blacks …

I hope that whatever you wear, you find light and love with your people this season. I hope you feel the warmth and comfort of those you hold dear. I hope you find strength and peace in the memories of those you are missing. I hope each party you attend brings laughter and smiles. I hope you are able to embrace the magic of the season, enjoy it and feel joy. I wish you a Merry Christmas.
