The Gothic Glam Table: Dark, Chic, and a Little Bit Witchy

A chic twist on Halloween styling — it’s equal parts goth and glam. This year’s Halloween table is all about the details — soft candlelight, moody florals, and a subtle hint of gothic romance.

I love creating tablescapes — it’s one of my favorite ways to celebrate each holiday. Our floor plan is very open… maybe a little too open (imo). The dining room sits right in the heart of the first floor, wide open to both the living room and kitchen. A year or two ago, my husband built us a stunning walnut table, and I love finding ways to dress it up. It’s the perfect spot to celebrate the season and bring a little extra magic to our home.

Typically, I don’t decorate much for Halloween. I have a few cute ghosts that I put out and recently added ghost garland, but for the most part … I decorate for fall and skip the Halloweenie decor. This year, however, I hosted a Witches Night In dinner party and I wanted create a table that was less cobwebs and more candlelight — a chic, gothic-glam-inspired table.

Tablescapes are one of those little joys that can make everyday life feel just a little more romantic. I don’t always have the table set. On a day-to-day, I keep it very simple. But, once a season, I love to create a table vibe worth sharing. Candles, some textures, and a few special touches – and you have a moment to savor.

It’s so fun to share these details with you — I hope they give you inspiration to make your table truly yours.

Cheers and Happy Halloween!
